With effect from the 1st January 2008, Axair Climate Limited is changing its legal name to Walter Meier (Climate UK) Ltd. With one, new and common brand "Walter Meier" for all businesses within the Group. The move is designed to provide greater recognition of the complementary areas of expertise within the Group and the synergies between them.

Walter Meier Group is a global service and industrial group with approximately 1800 employees and sales of around £350 million. The shares of Walter Meier are listed on the SWX Swiss Exchange.

"Our new common identity is about more than just sharing a name; it is about sharing our strengths and expertise to provide innovative solutions that meet the ongoing needs of our customers," explained CEO Silvan G. -R. Meier. "As building technologies change and building services work more closely with each other and with the fabric of the building, it is the integrated technologies within Walter Meier that will deliver the solutions our customers are looking for," he added. The newly restructured Walter Meier will have two main competence areas: Climate and Processing.

The Axair operation in the UK will fall within the Climate division of Walter Meier along with Axair Climate's sister operations in Germany, France and Switzerland.

In the immediate future, Axair Climate customers will see little change on a day-to-day basis and their usual contacts and contact numbers will remain the same. In the longer term, the closer integration of Walter Meier companies will lead to an ever-evolving product range offering more innovation, wider choice and increasingly good value.
