We've had some great times on the golf course in the last couple of months, while our sponsored racing driver continues to do well on the circuits.

The Axair Climate Golf Day in May, at the Marriott Breadsall Priory Hotel & Country Club in Morley, Derbyshire proved a great success and many of the people who attended said it was one of the best company golf days they had been on. The winning team included Gary Fowler and John Bedward of Chillaire and Mike Jones of Oasis Air Conditioning while the overall individual winner was Richard James of DSA.

The day warmed up with a relaxing Texas scramble across 9 holes, taking us up to an early lunch before the main event of the day - an 18 hole Stableford competition. The day was rounded off perfectly by a sumptuous dinner and presentation of prizes.

Top performance from Axair Climate

The Axair Climate golf team won 'Best Team' and included the 'Individual Winner' in the recent Fujitsu golf tournament, held at the prestigious Woburn Golf Club. The team consisted of our own Rob Rhodes and Gary McKeon with customers Karl Anderson of Sovereign Planned Services and Neil Savage of Woods Environmental. Karl was also the best individual player.

Racing ahead

Axair-sponsored racing driver Tom Mills, driving the new Gunn TS9, is now in poll position in the Duratec Sports 2000 Championship after some sterling performances in the first three meetings of the competition. Axair Climate is continuing to sponsor Tom through the rest of the year and laying on some top class hospitality for customers at forthcoming meetings.
