The versatile Blue Box Zeta range, now available from Axair Climate, incorporates a host of options, offering high levels of flexibility to suit the needs of a wide range of projects.

Zeta units can be supplied as packaged air cooled chillers or without an evaporator for use as a condensing unit. There are 16 models in the range, offering cooling capacities from 37kW to 260kW and each of these can be configured to include various options. These include:

• Heat recovery
• Heat pump
• Hydronic packs with single or dual pump, with or without buffer vessels
• Low noise and extra low noise options

Hydronic options

For a fully packaged solution, Zeta chillers can be supplied with hydronic modules, thus reducing on-site installation and commissioning time. Hydronic pack options include one or two pumps (second as run or standby), expansion vessel, check valves, gate valves and insulated buffer vessel. Each pack can be tailored to the specific project by selecting the required components.

Heat recovery

Two heat recovery variants are available. The Zeta 2002/DC features a 100% heat recovery condenser, while the Zeta 2002/DS uses desuperheaters for partial (20%) recovery of heat rejection.

Keeping the noise down

All Zeta chillers are designed to operate quietly with the inclusion of internal soundproofing as standard. For projects where noise levels are particularly critical, specifiers can select the Zeta 2002/LN low noise version with additional soundproofing to the compressor compartment or the Zeta 2002/SLN which also features an oversized condensing coil and fan speed control.

Zeta LE for Brighton department store

The flexibility of Zeta proved to be ideal for meeting the needs of a major department store in Brighton . Six Zeta 2002 LE units have been supplied to the project by Axair Climate, specially adapted for use as condensing units. Instead of providing chilled water for the air conditioning system, the units will supply refrigerant to direct expansion coils in air handling units. The condensing coils in the Zeta units have also been specially treated to withstand the saline atmosphere of this coastal project.
