| | Axair Climate sponsors the prestigious North East Football Awards for 2005 Named from left to the right: Shay Given Newcastle Utd FC, Mick McCarthy Sunderland Association FC, David Beavis North East Regional Director for the Prince's Trust, Richard McLoughlin Chairman and Manager of Jarrow Roofing FC, Steward Downing Middlesbrough FC, Adam Boyd Hartlepool Utd FC and Paul Kingswell MD Walter Meier (Climate UK) Ltd. A joint collaboration between Tyne Tees Television, BBC and Sky Sports saw all proceeds going to the Prince’s Trust. The Prince’s Trust helps young people overcome barriers and get their lives working. Through practical support including training, mentoring and financial assistance, they help 14-30 year olds realise their potential and transform their lives. Since the charity was founded by HRH The Prince of Wales in 1976, it has helped over half a million young people. A glittering occasion held on Monday 26 th September, saw the attendance of some of the greats in football. Paul Kingswell MD of Axair Climate presented the awards to include the talented Shay Given Goalkeeper for Newcastle United, Steward Downing of Middlesbrough FC picking up North East Young Footballer of the Year and Mick McCarthy in recognition off outstanding Football management. Other prizes were awarded during the evening which reflected the culmination of the highlights of the previous season.
